Why consultancy in the parenting niche?
I have often met women or men who hesitate and delay announcing at work that they are going to become parents for fear of being marginalised or treated differently after the news.
Yesterday an acquaintance told me how she was rejected for an interview after confessing she had a child.
Moreover, those who are parents are afraid to ask for adjustments in working hours or responsibilities and run from work to home and back to burn-out.
I’ve been both as a manager looking for a suitable workforce and as an employee who became a parent twice. I have experienced both situations and know that with open communication, a pre-established plan of action and a willingness to change, both parties can get maximum satisfaction from the collaboration.
What kind of company do you choose to represent?
- Do you want your company’s parent employees to be productive, motivated and committed?
- Want to lower their stress levels so they can perform better and manage more projects?
- Do you want to retain them in your company so that employee turnover decreases and you have experienced and loyal people with minimal training and recruitment costs?
- Do you want to tell your acquaintances and friends about the cool company you work for and thus position yourself in the market in a favourable light?
- Do you want to attract young employees who bring a fresh air and a new perspective to your company?
My vision is for all companies to support employees who want to become parents or who already have children, by providing them with a friendly working environment tailored to the needs of both the company and the employees.
What do parents and children say about the workshops I offer?
Adina Perko, educator at Goethe College
Although the theme is static, the workshop is animated, giving children the opportunity to move and to put themselves in poses that translate them into states that are part of their everyday life. When Maia the teddy bear tells of having a bad dream and crying, the children understand what she is feeling and thus explain certain feelings they have. Creativity and handicrafts are also explored. I recommend!
Ruxi, HR adviser and mother
“I recommend the workshop on self-awareness and self-esteem to all children, but especially to girls. Through the interactive activities proposed, girls discover themselves, learn to accept and love themselves, and most of all they see how beautiful, strong and wonderful they are. And all this while having a great time! Oana is a great trainer who knows how to get children to be present and engaged in activities, while keeping language age appropriate. All in all, a great workshop where the kids had a great time! “
